Who would have thought it?

I took the girls into get their well checks this week and we started with Claire and everything is "perfect" she is 50% for height and weight.  Then we got to Chloe and he started off by saying, "You've got a tall little girl there."  I thought to myself, yes she is tall but I had no idea how tall.  She ranks in at 90%!  I was pretty shocked because the only thing we are ever in the 90th percentile in is for head circumference!  Casey and I were both very short growing up so she didn't get the early height from us!

Exciting news!

Come October 8th, Casey and I will be having our 4th child.  We are so excited and so are the kids.  I think that is what I am most looking forward to about this baby, that my other kids can't wait.  My other 3 are so close together and they were never old enough to realize what was going on.  The girls can't wait to have a little baby, especially Chloe because she LOVES babies!

My baby is all grown up!

Chloe turned 3 on Sunday.  Where has the time gone?  Chloe definitely has the most spunk and personality in our family.  She is so animated, we just get a kick out of her.  She loves her older siblings and loves that she gets to play with her Claire Bear most of the day.  She used to cry whenever Claire would leave for preschool but has grown out of that.  She fell in love with High School Musical because of Claire and I think sometimes Chloe may like it more than Claire.  The other day I was asking Chloe about our family and I asked her if Daddy loved Mommy and she said, "Yeah, like Troy and Gabriella!"

If you know Chloe you also know her love for her night night (blanket).  As much as she loved it, Casey hated it.  I have to admit it was stinky and gross the way she sucked on one corner and put another corner up to her nose.  (She started sucking on it at an early age when I took away the binkie.) So for the past few weeks Casey would ask her, "What happens when you turn 3?" and she would reply, "My night night goes in the garbage."  So the morning of her birthday they put it in the garbage.  (I took it out, washed it and put it in a ziploc to keep.) That night when she was going to bed she kept asking for her pink night night because Grandma was nice to make her some new ones.  Chloe really thought that her night night was like a doll.  She would always say that her night night was crying for her or that she was taking a nap.  The past two nights haven't been as bad as we thought but it does take her a little longer for her to fall asleep.

We love you Chloe!

DISNEYLAND

Yes, we went to Disneyland a month ago but I still have to post the pictures.  (I don't know what it is but when I have to post a lot of pictures I get overwhelmed and put it off.)

We had a great time as always.  The bad part of our trip was that Small World was still closed to the public but not to season pass holders and then opened to the public the day after we left.  The Haunted Mansion was also closed, I'm sure Claire was really glad that she wasn't forced to go on it.  We were there for two days and the second day it rained starting about 1pm and we lasted a couple of hours after that and then decided to drive home.

We had some great memories of course.  This was the first time that our whole family could go on the Matterhorn and Gidgets coaster in Toon Town.  Chloe loved the roller coasters.  In fact she went on Gidgets coaster twice in a  row and the second time she kept her hands up the whole time!  Casey was glad that he had Cade so that he didn't have to wait in line to see all of the characters, I had that job.  In fact, we went to go see Mickey, just Claire and myself and I thought it would be fun to have us both in the picture.  So I asked if I could be in the picture and she said, No.  Can you believe that?  Cade LOVED Splash Mountain!  Casey and Cade must have went on it at least 8 times and four times were in a row.  Needless to say they were drenched afterward.  Our favorite ride this time was the new Toy Story ride in California Adventure, very cute and 3D.  We had a blast.  The first day we went nonstop because we knew it was going to rain the next day.  We ended going to Red Robin after the park closed (we held out for real food and it's the kids favorite).  After we were done eating and waiting for the check, Cade asked if it was past 8:00 yet (that is the kids bedtime), we said yes and he immediately laid his head in Casey's lap and fell asleep.  Of course we got his picture with his toy and he falls asleep with every year.  Notice in the picture of the girls and I on the tea cups that they are laughing and smiling while I am grimacing, I was the only adult that would go on it with them!

Disneyland is the best!

I love you Casey!!!

Casey and I have been married 8 years today.  We had a great weekend to remind us of our commitment to one another as we attending the wedding of some close friends.  I feel so lucky to have found Casey.  As I think about it, it seems like we haven't been married that long but at the same time I feel like my life started since I have been with Casey so in some ways it feels like it should be longer.  He is my best friend and can't imagine my life without him.

My little girl is 5...

I can't believe our little Claire Bear is 5 years old.  The last couple of months I have been teasing with her and asking her if she could stay 4 years old forever.  She didn't go for it, even when I said she could go to Mrs. McIntyre's preschool again.  I think that got her thinking but she is pretty excited for Kindergarten.  We had a very low key day but it was nice to have Casey and Cade home because of the holiday.  Happy Birthday Claire, we love you!

The many sleeping positions of Chloe

In the past two weeks I have found Chloe asleep in the some the most uncomfortable positions.  This first one didn't last long and she woke up crying, I can't imagine why...
